- Some 3,178 public connectors of varying charge speeds were installed in 2017
- That compares to more than 20,000 new plug-in vehicles sold last year
- Scotland has the most chargers per electric vehicles registered in the region
- The West Midlands has it worst – there is one charger per every 22 EVs
- Chargemaster boss says figures don’t include home and workplace chargers, which lifts number of charging points about 100,000
